So, thanks to HG getting these threads deleted there is a growing body of online evidence about her behaviour that will be available for potential contributors /donators to her latest venture. These cookies help provide information on metrics the number of visitors, bounce rate, traffic source, etc. It was heart breaking to read her story as well with endless buggy rides all hours of day and night, a no show father on so many occasions and an anxiety , tired mother trying to do it all. But what I really struggled was the way in which she claimed to be the victim of the abuse by an alcoholic and suffered such terrible things as a result of Mike’s addiction. Coming Clean] sheds light on the reverberating effects of addiction and sobriety in this glowing memoir that unravels her experience falling in – and at times, out of – love with an alcoholic .

But I still think it important that MN facilitates a group of mums who wish to comment on the various broadcasts/publications (eg books, magazine articles, radio/TV interviews and social media) of the author of Coming Clean, Liz Fraser. I hope that in sharing this story it might change the way addiction is talked about and understood from both sides, encourage open, trusting and supportive dialogue between addicts and those their addiction affects and provide some solace and help for those who need it - as I did. When Liz Fraser’s partner fell into a catastrophic vortex of depression and alcoholism, Liz found herself in a relentless hailstorm of lies, loneliness and fear, looking after their young child on her own, heartbroken, mentally shattered and with no idea what was happening or what to do. A remarkably frank, emotionally charged foray into one woman’s battle to come to terms with her partner’s alcoholism; a desperate fight to protect herself and her child, and to create a world where they could be enough for one another. Back to Coming Clean, the crux of the story focuses on the fallout from the partner’s descent into an alcoholic vortex after the couple and their young child moved to Venice. If anybody can quote any passage from the book which would credit him with even the teensiest hint of a sense of humour I’d be astonished. If you genuinely want someone you love to be well then I struggle to understand why you would be so upset when they were trying so hard. Considering this is likely targeted at many mothers it’s important for the clarifications to be out there so that mothers will not part with money under false pretences.

Meghan Markle forced to miss glitzy Beverly Hills ceremony where Prince Harry received a 'Living Legend'. Ryan Gosling shrugs off Barbie Oscars drama with loving kiss from daughter and support from wife Eva Mendes. Pat McAfee is 'sick' of criticism aimed at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce after the Chiefs' AFC title victory: 'Why is everybody so mad?British broadcaster and author Liz Fraser, who lives in Venice, posted the emotional video ahead of the couple's daughter's fourth birthday, saying how her ex-boyfriend's alcoholism has wrecked the dreams she had for the little girl when she was born. As she and her family moved between Cambridge, Venice and Oxford, she kept the often shocking truth entirely to herself for a long time, trying in vain to help her partner find a path to sobriety, until she herself finally broke from the trauma and started to speak out – only to find she was one of hundreds experiencing similar things, also living in silence and fear.

Some of the data that are collected include the number of visitors, their source, and the pages they visit anonymously. Nicki Minaj releases Megan Thee Stallion diss track Big Foot and hits low: 'Why did you lie about your lipo? The _ga cookie, installed by Google Analytics, calculates visitor, session and campaign data and also keeps track of site usage for the site's analytics report. And the shock of realising that even when they start to get sober, that it isn't over by a long chalk, and for many of us it gets significantly worse before it gets better. In the end, her wry prose, sharp self-reflection, and affinity for the uncertain reshapes her fraught experience into a nuanced story of resilience.

Liz Fraser’s memoir will break your heart into a million pieces and then gently squeeze it back together. Some of that is because of the shame of active alcoholism and some of that may be the secrecy around a lot of the twelve step programmes that help both alcoholics and those affected by alcoholism to recover. In Venice, she was pulled out of bed at all hours, strapped to the back of s bike as her hysterical mother tide through the streets screaming out her fathers name and running in to bars looking for him. It's an invaluable read and essential reading if your drinking is ruining the lives of those you love OR you are in a relationship with an abusive drinker.

She reveals that a final letter to the man she loved told him: 'Mike, my love, you have completely broken my life' and later reveals that enduring his addiction left her with 'severe PTSD'. Im not sure what to make of what the power of Liz Frazer’s honesty and integrity ( not to mention her easy, natural writing style ) has moved in me. Yet, she comes across as needy, possessive, narcissistic and someone who is clearly, well before Mike, suffering with her own mental health. She worked when she could with no childcare or support, all while slowly losing her mind from shock, exhaustion, and heartbreak. I think lots of contributors here are going over to TL so that they can express themselves without being constantly silenced.
